The Saint George Church was founded by Semendrian Greeks and other Christians from Asia Minor. Our first parish was built on Hill Street in Pontiac in 1928; our second parish was built on Mariva Street in Pontiac in 1931; and our current location was built in Bloomfield Hills in 1966.  

Since its inception, our parish has had a steadfast commitment to The Way (as Christianity was called by its earliest disciples). We strive to be positive witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as expressed in the apostolic tradition and worship of the Holy Orthodox Church.
