About the St. George Mission Fund

The St. George Mission Fund was established by the St. George Parish Council in 2021 to provide our parish with a stable and growing source of funding to support and expand our ministries as an Orthodox Christian community.

Mission Fund grants help sustain the religious, educational, cultural, and fellowship activities of our parish. Mission Fund resources are not used for the operational expenses of the church, which are supported through stewardship and other parish donations.

Grant Requests

Parish members in good standing may submit a grant request for consideration.

• Grant Request Forms must be submitted by December 1 of the year prior to the anticipated use of funds.

• The Mission Fund Board of Trustees reviews all requests and determines grant awards by February 1.

• Grants must align with the purpose and mission of the Fund.

• Consideration is given to the impact of the project, the needs of the parish community, and the availability of funds.

Donations

Your generous support allows the Mission Fund to continue strengthening and expanding the ministries of St. George.

We invite you to partner with us through a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or one-time donation.

We gladly accept:

• Cash donations

• Checks payable to St. George Mission Fund – Bloomfield Hills

• Online one-time or recurring donations through our Mission Fund giving platform

• Gifts of appreciated securities and other assets

• Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs

• Planned giving opportunities
